Technically speaking, the TED is an XML element included in each DTE document. Created when a DTE is issued, it contains supplier information (such as the Rol Único Tributario (RUT) number and company name), the DTE type code, the folio number, CAF, TED creation timestamp (<TSTED>), and Firma DTE (FRMT) (<FRMT>).
