What to do if you can't find your state license information

Learn what to do if you can't find your state license information in PRO.

You cannot find your state license information in PRO or you receive an error message stating The license number you have entered is not valid,

If you can't find your state license information in PRO, there may be a delay in processing. Some states only upload license data once or twice a month, while others have PRO integration with their native license applications, so data is uploaded immediately. You can contact the state to request a license data refresh, using the following information.

  1. First, verify your license number is valid by checking the state's Active Brands site. Go to the state's Active Brands site.
Check each state's registration guide for links to each state's site, or go to xx.productregistrationonline.com/activebrands, where xx is the state's abbreviation (for example, NY, OK, or OH).
  2. Enter your company name under Licensee. Then click Apply Filters.
Your license number will show in parentheses before your company name.
  3. Verify that you have active registrations to renew under this license.
  4. In PRO, make sure to input the correct license number in the format found on the Active Brands site.
