What to do if you can't find your COLA or FBPN

If you can't find your COLA or FBPN in PRO, learn what to do.

You don't see your Federal Basic Permit Number (FBPN) in the dropdown list when you search for it, or don't see your recently approved label in PRO.

In certain situations, your Federal Basic Permit Number (FBPN) won't appear in the dropdown list when you search for it. If you've never used PRO before, or if you don't have any COLAs associated with your FBPN, it won't appear here.

PRO has an integration with the TTB to "pull" label information on a nightly basis. However, we're not able to pull labels until they're available on the TTB public registry. Once your label is approved by the TTB, it can take up to three days for the label to be added to their public COLA registry.

  1. First, make sure that you're searching for your company's legal name, not the DBA name.
  2. If you're still not seeing your company name or FBPN appear, click the link to indicate you don't have an FBPN or COLA. Complete your registration this way.
Within a few days of completing registrations in PRO, your FBPN will begin populating in the dropdown.
  3. If you don't see your COLA appear, check the Federal Basic Permit Number (FBPN) you're entering. Make sure that it's the permit number that the TTB has on file for this label.
  4. Search for your label to see if the TTB has added it to their public site yet.
  5. Check the date of approval.
If your recently approved label is available on the TTB site, it should be available in PRO the next day, since we pull label information nightly.
  6. If your label still isn't available the next day, contact us.
