Add exemption certificates

Learn how to add exemption certificates to CertManager.

Important:

Adding a certificate does not automatically create an exemption. You must convert the certificate into an exemption.

Go to the Certificates page and click Add.
Drag and drop your files into the Add Your Files box or click Browse and select them from your files.

You can upload individual PDF files or a ZIP file:

Individual PDF files
Upload one to 20 files at a time. If you select more than 20 files, a message prompts you to upload a ZIP file or select 20 or fewer files instead.
ZIP files
Upload one at a time. Each ZIP file must be 256 MB or smaller and can contain up to 10,000 PDF files. Up to three ZIP files can be processed at the same time.

For ZIP file uploads, a message confirms that processing has started. ZIP file processing runs in the background, so you can leave CertManager while your files process. When processing is complete, you receive an email with one of the following results:

Success: All certificates were added.
Partial success: Some certificates were added. The email includes an Excel file that lists the failures and reasons.
Failure: No certificates were added.

Important:

Large ZIP files can take a few minutes to begin processing. Stay on the page until the "Image zip upload initiated" message displays.

To split a file with multiple pages into individual certificates, click the file in the list of certificates, then click Yes.
