Manage companies

Learn how to manage companies within your organization.

Companies in Compliance Network represent individual business entities that process transactions and connect to tax authorities. Each company typically represents a single business tax ID. Organization-level settings allow you to do the following with companies:

  • Add companies through tax ID creation.

  • Edit and delete tax IDs.

Add company

Learn how to add a company to your organization.

  1. Go to Settings > Organization and click Companies.
  2. Click Add company.

  3. Fill out the required and optional fields:
    Legal Name
    The legal name for a company.
    DBA
    DBA stands for "Doing Business As" and is a registered nickname for a company.
    Tax ID
    Tax ID is the official registration number used to identify a company to government tax agencies.
    Products (Optional)
    Choose products related to the company through the dropdown.
  4. Enable or disable the Is Activated toggle if the company should be available or locked.

  5. Click Save.

Edit company

Learn how to edit a company in your organization.

  1. Go to Settings > Organization and click Companies.
  2. Click on a company you want to edit in the Companies table.
  3. Edit tax ID by changing the Legal Name, DBA, or add Products to the company.
  4. Enable or disable the Is Activated toggle.
