Register low-ABV products

Learn how to set up and register beer or malt beverage products.

For beer and malt, make sure to select 1 under # of Containers per SKU. If you're importing products, make sure to fill out this field with 1s in the import template.

Products with an ABV below 7% (such as hard seltzer and kombucha) will need to be registered as a NO COLA label. ShipCompliant doesn't pull label information for low-ABV products through our integration with the TTB, so you'll register these products slightly differently.

  1. Add images to the products you'd like to register.
JPG or PNG images are preferred. PDF images are discouraged.
  2. Adjust the physical dimensions of your image manually, even if the image has a fixed height and width.
Always select Brand (front) as the type of image, even if the image also covers the back of the container.
  3. Go to Registrations - State-New and click New Registration.
  4. Select the type of registration you need.
  5. Click to register a low ABV product (no COLA).
  6. Select your product type and fill out the label description.
  7. Click Fix to associate products with your new label.
A screenshot showing the Fix button on the Registration Checklist screen in ShipCompliant.
  8. Search for your products and add them to the registration. Then exit the registration flow.
On the Setup - Labels/COLAs page, you'll see a green check mark next to the newly created registration indicating that you've linked your product to a label.
