Manage child accounts

Child accounts allow you to control access to specific information depending on each user's subsidiary company or business unit.

A child account is a subaccount of a parent account and provides flexibility in controlling who can access specific information. A child account is associated with a subsidiary company or business unit, while a parent account is associated with the organization level. Customers or corporations can use a parent account to manage several child accounts.

Create a child account

Learn how to create a child account in VAT Filing.

  1. Go to Settings > Child Accounts.
  2. Click Add child account.
    Note:

Users with access only to one child account can only view data specific to that account. They don't have access to data from the parent account or any other child account.

  3. Enter the Child account name on the sliding panel and select one or more Direct Filing Settings. Then, click Add.

Direct filing refers to a VAT Filing method that is integrated with the government's portal. If you select a direct filing option for a country, you can file the corresponding returns directly with the government by clicking the Submit for filing button on the Return details page. If you don't select a direct filing option for a country, use the Export for filing button on the Return details page to export the XML file of the return form, then upload it to the government's website.

    Note:

Validate certificate and Saml file service activates the Single Sign-On (SSO) feature for child accounts.
