Deactivate a location

Learn how to deactivate a location so it no can no longer be associated with returns.

You must have one of the following user roles:

  • Admin

  • Team Lead

  • MS User

For record purposes, locations in Sales Tax Filing can't be deleted. Instead, you can deactivate locations that you no longer use. Deactivated locations can't be associated with returns but are still listed on the Locations page with the Inactive status.

  1. Go to Settings > Locations.
  2. Select the box next to the location you want to deactivate.
  3. Click the Deactivate icon.
  4. Click Deactivate on the confirmation message.
