Mexico
Sovos eArchiving facilitates the storage of Mexican e-invoices (CFDIs) and related documents, ensuring compliance with archiving obligations for suppliers and buyers.
Sovos eArchiving can be used to store Mexican e-invoices (CFDIs). In general, both the supplier and the buyer have the obligation to archive CFDIs.
Every CFDI should be stored as the original e-invoice in Sovos eArchiving. To store a CFDI, it's necessary to set the Archiving.DocumentFormat scope to "MXCFDI", the Archiving.SignatureType scope to "Audit", and the Archiving.SignatureFormat scope to "MXCFDIT" within the SBDH. The DocumentIdentification.InstanceIdentifier parameter in the SBDH should be populated with the UUID as specified in the CFDI. In addition, it's recommended to set the Serie and Folio as Archiving.CustomProperty scopes, as specified in the CFDI.
Regarding the Mexican cancellation responses (Acuses), there is no explicit legal requirement to archive them. However, it's highly recommended to archive them as attachments to the previously stored CFDI as evidence for legal disputes. As for waybills (Carta Porte), it's recommended that the buyer archive them as attachments to the corresponding CFDI invoices. Both cancellation responses and waybills can be stored as attachments to the CFDIs, either as part of the initial storage of the invoice, or via the update invoice endpoint.
