Common registration and login errors

Learn how to fix the problems you might encounter when registering for a Sovos login and logging into Sovos.

The verification link results in an error

After clicking the Verify button in the email verification email, you get an error that the link has expired.

Verification links expire after 24 hours.

Try to register again or request a new verification link to the same email address from Support.

The verification link redirects to the registration page

You are taken back to the registration page after clicking Verify in the email verification email.

The verification link has expired.

Try to register again or request a new verification link to the same email address from Support.

No verification code was sent

Clicking Forgot password on the login screen does not trigger a new verification email.

When product access is tied to a one-time passcode sent by email, the system might not always detect that the user's account is still pending verification.

Contact your team's administrator to register a new profile.

The login redirects to Sovos Home

After logging in, you are taken to Sovos Home instead of the API Admin or your product.

Your product or the developer portal was not launched automatically.

Find your product and click it, or paste the product login link directly into your browser and follow the prompts.

500 error after login

You get a 500 error after logging in.

This is often caused by too many cookies stored in the browser, which can interfere with how components load.

  1. Clear your cookies, refresh the login page, and try logging in again.
  2. If the issue continues, reach out to your team's administrator or contact Support.
