Distribution rules

Distribution rules define how and where documents are delivered after generation, including email routing, folder storage, and printing.

Distribution rules tell Paperless what to do with a document after it is generated and submitted to the Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII). Each rule is linked to a channel such as email or folder and uses an XPath expression to filter the documents to which the rule applies. For example, a rule can send all invoices from a specific issuer to a particular email address.

You can also create rules with content settings that define the format and template used for delivery. Distribution can happen multiple times for the same document, if needed.

Available channels:

MAIL

Sends documents to one or more fixed email addresses.

XPML

Extracts the recipient email from the XML content of the document.

FOLD

Saves generated PDFs to a specified folder.

ASML

Distributes between authorized receivers.

MQCH

Uses IBM MQ queues.

OFCH

Uses the Oracle Financials Channel.

PEML

Sends a personalized email to the document recipient.

NOML

Sends an email notification related to the document.
