Get started with Sovos Intelligence

Log in, find your way around the navigation, and run your first analysis.

When you log in, Sovos Intelligence opens on your first available section. If your role includes Insights, you land on this home page, which invites you to ask a question about your tax data in natural language. The page also shows suggested questions and, after you used it, your recent conversations. If your role doesn't include Insights (for example, a Read-Only user), you land on the first section available to you, such as Reports.

The navigation menu

The main navigation menu runs down the left side of the screen and gives you access to each section your role allows. The full set of sections includes:

  • Dashboards

  • Insights

  • Reports

  • Data

  • Queries

  • Connectors

  • Downloads

At the bottom you'll find your user profile and, for Organization Admins, a Settings icon.

Note:

The sections you see depend on your role. For example, a Read-Only user won't see Insights, Queries, or Connectors. For what each section does, see About Sovos Intelligence. For who can see and control what, see Roles and permissions.

Run your first analysis

If your role includes Insights, the fastest way to get value is to ask a question. Go to Insights, type a question in plain language, for example, “What were my total VAT filings last quarter?”, and review the answer. See Insights for more. If you don't have Insights, run a report instead. Go to Reports, open a template, and review a saved run. See Reports.
