Manage businesses (ReportMyUP Plus)

Learn how to add, switch between, edit, download, and delete businesses.

Add businesses (ReportMyUP Plus)

Follow these steps to add more businesses after creating your account.

Note:

These steps are for ReportMyUP Plus customers only. ReportMyUP customers can only have one business. Read about how to upgrade to ReportMyUP Plus.

  • Only Admin users can add businesses.

  • You account can have up to five businesses.

  1. Go to Settings > Businesses.
    The Settings icon and the Businesses button are highlighted.
  2. Click Add business.
    The Add business button is highlighted.
  3. In the Business section, fill in the following fields:
    Registered business name
    The legal name of your business, up to 40 characters.
    Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN)
    The nine-digit number assigned by the IRS to identify your business, with no dashes. For example, 123456789.
    Business Unit
    Enter any value to help you identify the business.
    Address
    Your business's address information.
    Business category
    Read about business categories.
    State/province/territory of incorporation
    The place where your company is licensed to do business. It might be different from your physical location.
    Business start date
    The date on which your company was licensed to do business. If your business is a savings and loan association, bank, or credit union, enter the date when your organization was chartered.
  4. In the Report signer section, click the dropdown, then:
    • Select an existing report signer.
    • Click Add Report Signer to add a new one. In the pop-up, enter the report signer's name, title, and contact information. Click Save.
  5. In the Contacts section, click the dropdowns, then:
    • Select an existing report contact and claim contact.
    • Click Add Contact to add a new one. In the pop-up, enter the contact's name and contact information. Click Save.
  6. Click Add.

Change businesses (ReportMyUP Plus)

  1. Click the field on the menu that shows the business you're currently working in.
    The business switcher is highlighted.
  2. Select a business from the dropdown.

Edit businesses (ReportMyUP Plus)

Follow these steps to update your businesses' information.

These steps are for ReportMyUP Plus customers only. If you're a ReportMyUP customer, read the article on editing business information in ReportMyUP. Read about how to upgrade to ReportMyUP Plus.

  1. Go to Settings > Businesses.
    The Settings icon and the Businesses button are highlighted.
  2. Click the More options icon and select Edit.
    The More options icon and the Edit button are highlighted.
  3. On the Overview tab, edit any of the following fields:
    Registered business name
    The legal name of your business, up to 40 characters.
    Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN)
    The nine-digit number assigned by the IRS to identify your business, with no dashes. For example, 123456789.
    NAICS code
    The six-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code that identifies your business type, with no dashes. For example, 123456. This field is only required if you are reporting to Tennessee. Visit the Census website for a list of accepted NAICS codes.
    Business address
    Your business's address information.
    Business category
    Read about business categories.
    State/province/territory of incorporation:
    The place where your company is licensed to do business. It might be different from your physical location.
    Business start date
    The date on which your company was licensed to do business. If your business is a savings and loan association, bank, or credit union, enter the date when your organization was chartered.
  4. Click Save.

Download businesses (ReportMyUP Plus)

Find out how to download your businesses' information in an Excel file.

These steps are for ReportMyUP Plus customers only. Read about how to upgrade to ReportMyUP Plus.

  1. Go to Settings > Businesses.
    The Settings icon and the Businesses button are highlighted.
  2. Click Download # businesses as .xlsx.
    The Download # businesses as .xlsx button is highlighted.
The Excel file will be downloaded to your computer.

Delete businesses (ReportMyUP Plus)

Follow these steps to permanently remove a business from your account.

Note:

These steps are for ReportMyUP Plus customers only. Read about how to upgrade to ReportMyUP Plus.

Delete a business to free up space in your account for an active business. You might need to delete a business if:
  • You created a test business and no longer need to use it.

  • A business closed, all their information has been reported, and all their data has been downloaded.

Note:

Only Admin users can delete businesses.

CAUTION:

This action permanently deletes the business and all its data.

  1. Go to Settings > Businesses.
    The Settings icon and the Businesses button are highlighted.
  2. Click the More options iconand select Delete.
    The More options icon and the Delete button are highlighted.
  3. On the pop-up, click Delete.
