Install the Tax Determination connector on a computer with no SAP ECC or S/4HANA

The following steps describe how to install the SAP ECC or S/4HANA connector on a computer that is different from the one running the SAP environment.

By default, SAP prevents itself from using an RFC server (the connector) located on a different computer from the SAP environment. You can disable this feature by following these steps:

Talk to your SAP consultant to find out which version of SAP allows this configuration.

Log in to the SAP Client.
Go to Transaction Code smgw.
Select Go To > Parameter > Change from the menu.
Change the value of the gw/acl_mode parameter from 1 to 0 and click Save.
Restart the connector.
