Edit the Sovos Configuration Record

Learn how to edit the Sovos Configuration Record.

  1. Go to Sovos Legacy > Legacy Tax > Configuration.
  2. Open the Sovos Configuration Record by clicking Edit in the Sovos Configuration's row.
    If there is no Sovos Configuration row, click New Sovos Legacy Configuration.
  3. Enter the following information:
    Note:

    The Sovos URL, user, entity, and password will be provided to you by your Professional Services consultant.

    Name
    Enter Sovos Configuration.
    Sovos URL
    Enter the URL that hosts the connector environment.
    Sovos User
    Enter your username.
    Sovos Entity
    Enter your operating unit name.
    Sovos Password
    Enter your password.
    Sovos Send Error Email
    Enter the email address for your Sovos service account.
    Sovos Send Error Email Employee
    Select the employee whose name will appear as the sender of the error email. This employee must have an email address associated with NetSuite.
    Sovos Error Email Recipients
    Enter the email addresses of the individuals you want to send error emails to (separated by semicolons.)
    Sovos Instance Name
    Enter your NetSuite environment name.
  4. Select Sovos TWE Enabled to enable the connector in your environment.
  5. Optional: Select the following options if applicable:
    Sovos Single Tax Code
    Select this option if you want to use a single tax code for all US transactions rather than individual tax codes for each state. Using a single tax code will give you a general idea of what you owe in each state. For more specific and accurate amounts, leave this option turned off.
    Activate Override Tax Details
    Select this option if you want to back calculate taxes.
  6. Select the transaction types that you want to support, such as Sovos Support Invoice or Sovos Support Credit.
  7. Click Save.
