About IRS intermittent issues

Find out what IRS intermittent issues mean for your checks.

While we can't say for certain why the IRS or other systems may have issues, this does happen from time-to-time. We understand how important connecting to these systems is for you, and our team is communicating with the IRS when this happens o find a resolution. While these events are typically short-lived, they are unfortunately out of our control.

To view any downtime the IRS system is experiencing, check out our IRS status page for more detail on the duration and frequency of such events.

Note:

Keep in mind that TINCheck is not a government agency and is not a part of the IRS so we can't provide more information than what we have available to us.

What are intermittent issues?

Intermittent issues are not as disruptive as downtime. This simply means that our system has detected some level of degradation from the IRS system that may impact the results we are able to provide you in return.

What about my requests?

You will not be billed for any checks that are impacted by IRS downtime. The IRS system is not something we have control over, but we are proactive in making sure TINCheck will return results as soon as the IRS system is online.
