Fix IRIS transmittal errors
Learn how to resolve errors in your IRS IRIS transmittal files.
When the IRS processes your transmittal, you may receive errors that need to be corrected or rejected records that need to be resubmitted.
For some errors, your error message will include a line number showing the exact record location in the transmittal file. Download the file, find the record with the error, and fix the record in our system by following these steps.
