Create an RFC user with SAP authorizations

The following steps describe how to create an RFC user in the SAP system with authorizations for RFC connections.

Creating an RFC user is necessary to connect your SAP system to the Tax Determination connector. The steps to add a user are specific to the SAP version you are using. If you need help setting up the RFC user, visit the SAP help center for instructions, view the help section through the SAP software you are using, or contact the SAP support team.
  1. Go to the PFCG transaction.
  2. On the Role Maintenance screen, enter the role name in the Role field. Then, click Single Role.
  3. On the Change Roles screen, enter a description for the role and click the Authorizations tab.
  4. Click Save.
  5. On the Authorizations tab, click Change Authorization Data.
  6. Click Do not select templates, then click Manually.
  7. Enter S_RFC in the Authorization Object field. Click Continue.
  8. Select Function Group for RFC_TYPE.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Select Execute for ACTVT.
  11. Click Save.
    For RFC_NAME, enter the following values:
    1. /FLDQ/AD_GENERIC_FM

    2. RFC1

    3. RFC_METADATA

    4. SDIFRUNTIME SYST

    5. SYSU

  12. Click Save.
  13. Click the Generate icon, then click Execute.
  14. Go to transaction SUO1.
  15. Enter the user and click Change.
  16. Go to the Roles tab and enter the role name in the Role field. Press Enter.
  17. Click Save.
