Create a service account

To allow the connector to receive information from Oracle and submit scheduled processes, you will need to create a service account and assign it a custom role.

  • You must have the IT Security Manager role or an equivalent custom role.
  1. Go to Tools > Security Console.
  2. Click Users, then click Add User Account.
  3. Enter the following information in the User Information section:
    User Category
    Select DEFAULT.
    First Name
    Enter GTDService.
    Last Name
    Enter Acct.
    Email
    Enter an email address.
    User Name
    Enter GTDService.Acct.
    Password
    Enter a password for the service account.
    Confirm Password
    Enter the password again.
  4. Click Save and Close.
  5. Click the Roles tab, then click Create Role.
  6. Enter the following information:
    Role Name
    Enter Custom GTD Service Role.
    Role Code
    Enter XX_GTD_SERVICE_ROLE.
    Role Category
    Select Financials - Job Roles.
  7. Click Step 5 in the workflow to move to the Role Hierarchy section.
  8. Click Add Role.
  9. Enter Download data for Tax Export in the Search field and click the Search icon, then select it from the results and click Add Role Membership.
  10. Repeat the previous step to add the following roles:
    • Tax External Taxable Transaction Processing (ORA_ZX_TAX_EXTERNAL_TRANSACTION_DUTY)

    • Tax External Taxable Transaction Processing (ORA_ZX_TAX_EXTERNAL_TRANSACTION_DUTY_OBI)

    • Tax Reporting (ORA_ZX_TAX_REPORTING_DUTY)

    • Tax Reporting (ORA_ZX_TAX_REPORTING_DUTY_OBI)

    • Upload data for Tax Import (FIN_TAX_IMPORT_RWD)

  11. Click the X to close the Add Role Membership pop-up.
  12. Click Step 7 in the workflow to move to the Users section.
  13. Click Add User.
  14. Search for the service account you created earlier and select it from the list, then click Add User to Role.
  15. Click the X to close the Add User pop-up.
  16. Click Next.
  17. Review the changes on the Summary page. If everything looks correct, click Save and Close.
Give the service account details to your Support contact.
