Configure the Sovos Connector

Configuring subsidiaries

Configure subsidiaries for NetSuite and OneWorld accounts.

Configuring subsidiaries includes activating the tax engine and adding any configured nexuses to it. The steps are different depending on whether you have a NetSuite account or a NetSuite OneWorld account.

Configure subsidiaries for a NetSuite account

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Company Information.
  2. Click the Tax Registrations tab.
  3. From the Country dropdown, select a country.
  4. From the Nexus dropdown, choose a nexus that has a tax agency assigned to it.
    The Tax Agency field will automatically populate.
  5. From the Tax Engine dropdown, select Sovos SuiteTax 2.0.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Click Save.

Configure subsidiaries for a NetSuite OneWorld account

This configuration is only needed for NetSuite OneWorld accounts with multiple subsidiaries. Each subsidiary using the connector needs to be configured individually.
  1. Go to Setup > Company > Subsidiaries.
  2. Click the Edit link for the subsidiary which is going to use Tax Determination.
  3. Click the Tax Registration tab.
  4. From the Country dropdown, select a country.
  5. From the Nexus dropdown, choose a nexus that has a tax agency assigned to it.
    The Tax Agency field will automatically populate.
  6. From the Tax Engine dropdown, select Sovos SuiteTax 2.0.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Repeat steps 5-7 for all nexuses that have a tax agency assigned.
  9. Click Save.
