Fix Global Tax Determination sync errors

Learn how to correct Global Tax Determination sync errors in CertManager.

  • Your CertManager account is integrated with Global Tax Determination.

  • You have an exemption with the following attributes:

    • The exemption status is AUDITABLE_INCOMPLETE

    • The reason for incomplete is GTD Sync Error

    • The GTD status is either NOT_IN_GTD or OUT_OF_SYNC

There is an issue with your exemption that is preventing it from syncing with Global Tax Determination.

  1. Go to the Exemptions page in CertManager.
  2. Click the exemption to open the exemption details.
    There is an error message titled Global Tax Determination Sync Failed that explains what is causing the GTD sync error.
  3. Update the exemption based on the error message, then click Update.
  4. Click the Refresh Exemption Table icon and confirm that:
    • The exemption status is AUDITABLE_COMPLETE.

    • The reason for incomplete is Complete.

    • The GTD status is SYNCED.

In CertManager, you added a new exemption to a customer who already had an exemption, but with a different reason for exemption.

If your organization in Global Tax Determination is set to not allow customers to have multiple reasons for exemption, the new exemption will not sync to Global Tax Determination.
