Address validation compliance failures

Learn how to handle common address validation compliance failures.

When entering order information into ShipCompliant, you may encounter an address validation compliance failure. The 3 most common address validation failures are: address is invalid, address is out of range, and address is not found.

An invalid address is typically a PO Box, where shipping is prohibited. An alternate address must be provided.

An address that is out of range usually means that your selected delivery service will not ship to that address. Other carriers may serve that address, so check with your selected carrier.

An address that isn't found means ShipCompliant's address validation service has no record of that address. Check if any info is entered incorrectly, or if your customer has an alternate address. ShipCompliant will suggest changes to addresses when available, but always verify these with your customer.
