Manage companies
Before filing VAT, you need to add a company and its VAT registrations. Registration is the process of officially signing up your business with the government of a country to file VAT.
Add a company
Learn how to add a company in VAT Filing.
- Go to .
- Click Add.
- On the sliding panel, enter the Company Name and Company Abbreviation. Then, click Create.
Edit a company
Learn how to update a company's name or abbreviation.
- Go to .
- To find a company, click the Search icon.
- Enter your query, then click Enter.
- Click the company's row.
- Click the Edit icon.
- Change the company's name or abbreviation, then click Save.
Register a company
Use this information to help you add or change a company's registration.
Required basic information
Use this information to fill in the required basic information section.
- Registration type
This field has the following options:
- VAT (Value Added Tax)
- VAT registration is necessary for companies that sell goods or services and are required to charge VAT on their sales.
- ESL (European Community Sales List)
- The EC Sales List or ESL return is a reporting obligation on the transfer of goods or the supply of services from one EU country to another EU country.
- Intrastat
- The system for collecting information and sharing statistics on the trade in goods between countries of the European Union (EU).
- OSS (One Stop Shop)
- European companies selling goods or services directly to consumers across several EU countries can register to file VAT in only one EU country.
- VAT number type
This field has the following options:
- General
- This is the standard VAT number assigned to a company for its primary business operations.
- MS-Identification
- This type of VAT number is used in the context of transactions within the European Union (EU).
- MS-Fixed Establishment
- This VAT number is assigned to companies with fixed establishments, such as branches or offices, in multiple EU member states.
Optional basic information
Use this information to fill in the optional basic information section:
- Registration Owner
- The individual or entity responsible for the registration process.
- Territorial workplace
- This field denotes the physical location(s) or address(es) where the company conducts its business operations.
- Main economy activity
- This field identifies the primary economic activity or industry in which the company operates for regulatory and statistical purposes.
- Subsidiary Identifier
- This is a unique identifier assigned to a subsidiary company within a larger corporation. Companies with multiple subsidiaries may use the information to manage and track each subsidiary's registration separately.
Other optional sections
Use this information to fill in the other optional sections:
- Applicant Information
- Personal details, contact information, and signatory details of the person or entity that registers your company with the government.
- Company HQ Location Information
- Address, contact, financial, and additional details on the company's headquarters.
- Fiscal Representative Location Information
- Address, contact, and identification details of the fiscal representative managing your company’s VAT affairs with the tax authorities.
- Filing Information
- Tax, statistical, regulatory, and filing information. Depending on the jurisdiction, the national tax number and the company registration number may be the same as the VAT number. The need for a Statistical Office Number may also vary by jurisdiction.
- Connection Settings
- Configuration options required for the direct integration of a country within VAT Filing. When customers want direct integration with a specific country, they need to provide a certificate and a password. These credentials are necessary for authentication and must be entered to establish the connection.
- OSS Information
- Commencement, request, and registration dates of the company's participation in the One Stop Shop (OSS) program, along with the applicable OSS schemes.
- Intermediary Information
- Address, contact, financial, and other additional details from any intermediary entities involved in the company's transactions or business operations (third-party agents, brokers, or intermediaries who facilitate transactions on behalf of the company).

- To find a company, click the Search icon.
- Enter your query, then click Enter.
- Click the registration's row.
- After making your changes, click Save.
Delete a company's registrations
Learn how to delete a company's registrations in VAT Filing.
- Go to .
- To find a company, click the Search icon.
- Enter your query, then click Enter.
- Select one or more registrations, or select all registrations using the checkbox at the top.
- Click the Delete rows icon.
- Click the Delete button to confirm.
