Hungary

The Hungarian preservation process for e-invoices involves hashing, archiving, and signing with a Qualified Digital Signature, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

The preservation process is one of the acceptable solutions for compliance with the Hungarian legal requirements. The Hungarian preservation process requires that the e-invoices are hashed and grouped together in an archiving package and signed with a Qualified Digital Signature, as well as time-stamped by an accredited third-party Time-Stamping Authority.

Both technical and legal means for running this process are included in Sovos eArchiving.

Preservation

The Hungarian laws are strict regarding the archiving of fiscal documents. All issued invoices must regularly undergo a so-called preservation process. In Hungary, you can use any method that ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The preservation process is carried out in the backend of Sovos eArchiving.
Note:

As long as the Hub stores the invoices under the country code HU, this process will be carried out automatically.
