Sovos Docs

April 3, 2026

The following Compliance Network updates will be released to production on April 3, 2026.

New and improved

Access-point resolution
We improved how the delivery virtual access point is retrieved from the Networks API. The system now uses a more reliable method to resolve external access points, reducing the risk of failed lookups.
Bulk download
We added PDF generation support to the bulk download service. You can now download documents in PDF format when using the bulk download feature.
Configuration management
We improved configuration management at the workspace level. You can now configure network settings for service providers per workspace. These settings are automatically applied during document processing. When no workspace-specific configuration is set, the system falls back to the appropriate default values which ensures that document flows continue to work seamlessly.
Document management
We improved the bulk PDF generation workflow for historical documents. You can now generate missing PDFs and download up to 10,000 documents in a single action, with status tracking throughout the process.
We added new search filters to the Documents and Lifecycle Transactions tabs. You can now filter by transaction ID, correlation ID, document system ID, origin, destination, and other fields for more precise search results.
Document transaction details
We added the organization name with a link to the document transaction details view. You can now identify the organization associated with a transaction directly from the details page.
Inbound notifications
We added the invoice number to inbound notification payloads in the erpDocumentID field. This applies to both invoice and lifecycle notifications, and makes it easier for you to correlate received notifications with the corresponding invoice in your system.
Organization administration
We added the ability for workspace administrators to manage ERP systems at the organization level in Compliance Network. You can now create, update, and duplicate ERP systems and open the webhook configuration portal from the Organization page.
PEPPOL
  • We improved partner identification for outbound PEPPOL endpoints. The system now correctly distinguishes between customers and trading partners during dynamic discovery, ensuring accurate document routing.
  • We added workspace-level document origin configuration for virtual access point support. The system now routes documents through the correct virtual access point based on workspace configuration.
  • We added workspace-level globalization support during the update process. The system now applies workspace-specific settings with a fallback to system defaults when workspace settings are not available.
  • We added two new parameters to the Communications Gateway PEPPOL inbound connector. You can now specify document type and document sub-type when configuring inbound PEPPOL connections.
Service provider data
  • We improved how service provider data is stored on document and process lifecycles. Inbound and outbound documents now carry accurate service provider information for both the issuer and recipient, ensuring correct identification throughout the document lifecycle.
  • We added service provider configuration data to lifecycle mapping requests. You can now see the correct platform identification in lifecycle transmissions forwarded to tax authorities.
Belgium
We updated lifecycle handling for Belgium. The system now skips unnecessary lifecycle notifications for documents processed through the network, preventing validation errors.
Ecuador
  • We added support for credit note (v1.1) and debit note (v1.0) document processing. You can now send and receive credit notes and debit notes for Ecuador through Compliance Network.
  • We updated the XSLT mappings for Ecuador invoice, credit note, and debit note documents. The system now processes these document types with improved accuracy and reliability.
France
We updated the endpoint delete action for the French directory. The system now performs directory entry removal correctly through the French public directory service.

Bug fixes

Audit logging
We fixed a problem that was causing an error in the audit payload builder for the dynamic discovery service. The system now generates audit records correctly without interruption.
Document delivery
  • We fixed a problem that was causing dynamic discovery to fail with a concurrent operation error when processing multiple documents for the same entities. The system now handles concurrent discovery requests correctly.
Document detail
We fixed a problem that was causing incorrect attachment dates on the document detail page. The system now shows the correct date when an attachment was added.
Document transaction details
We fixed a problem that was causing the transaction detail view to display information from a previously selected event instead of the current one. You can now navigate between events and see the correct details immediately.
Document validation
  • We fixed a problem with UBL and CII document validation that was causing an XSD error for an invalid child element. The system now validates document structure correctly.
  • We fixed a problem with UBL and Factur-X Basic document validation that was rejecting documents containing empty elements. The system now handles empty elements according to the specification.
Inbound self-billing
We fixed a problem that was causing inbound self-billing transactions to fail with an error. You can now process inbound self-billing documents without errors.
User profile
We fixed a problem that was causing the profile page redirect to not work correctly. You can now access your profile page without issues.
Ecuador
We fixed a problem with the Ecuador invoice XSLT mapping that was causing errors due to self-closed XML tags. You can now process Ecuador invoices without encountering mapping errors.
France
  • We fixed a problem that was causing an error when deleting a French directory endpoint. You can now delete directory endpoints without errors.
  • We fixed a problem that was causing an error when deleting a French directory endpoint after an update operation. The system now processes sequential update and delete operations correctly.
  • We fixed a problem with CDAR transmission formatting that was causing incorrect party identification data to be sent to the French tax authority based on document status. The system now populates the correct issuer trade party details and sender information for all CTC CDAR transmissions.
Malaysia
  • We fixed a problem that was causing outbound documents to incorrectly receive a rejected status from the tax authority when the documents were still being processed. The system now correctly handles tax authority response codes for documents with an in-progress status, and your documents reflect the accurate processing result.
  • We fixed a problem that was causing approved documents to be revalidated during outbound transmission processing. The system now preserves document approval status throughout the processing workflow, preventing unnecessary API calls and improving transmission reliability.

Regulatory updates

France
We updated the schematron validation files for UBL, CII, and Factur-X formats to the July 2025 version. Documents are now validated against the latest regulatory rules for France.
Schematron validation
We improved schematron validation handling for recipients marked as not applicable. The system now skips schematron validation and integration status delivery when the recipient is not applicable, reducing unnecessary processing errors.
