Storage service error codes

The Storage service returns common error codes applicable to all Storage service operations, plus operation-specific codes where applicable.

Common error codes

The following error codes can be returned by any Storage service operation. Common client error codes are transmitted inside a tac:TrustArchiveClientFault and common server error codes are transmitted inside a tac:TrustArchiveServerFault. All error code values are of type xs:string.

Common client error codes


Code	Description
Unauthorized	The client is not authorized to perform the requested operation.
ParameterMissing	A mandatory part of the input parameter is missing.
ParameterInvalid	A part of the input parameter is malformed.
NotSupported	A part of the input parameter is not supported.

Common server error codes


Code	Description
InternalError	An internal error has occurred.
TemporarilyUnavailable	This operation is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.

Operation-specific error codes

The following error codes are specific to individual Storage service operations. Each operation might also return the common error codes described in Common error codes.

Note: Any reference to a faulty parameter in a list is zero-indexed.

StoreInvoice operation


Code	Description
SectionNotEnabled	A storage section of an invoicing party has not been enabled for storage. For example, the invoicing party is not a user organization; `EnableSection` must be called first.
SectionLocked	A storage section of an invoicing party is locked for storage.
SectionClosed	A storage section of an invoicing party is closed for storage.
SectionNotRegistered	The name of a non-storing invoicing party does not identify a registered storage section.
CountryNotEnabled	Storage is not supported for the specified country for a user organization.
InvoiceExpired	The invoice is already expired according to the configuration applying to at least one of the invoicing parties.

GetInvoice operation


Code	Description
NotFound	The reference does not identify a stored invoice in the storage area of the section.

SearchInvoices operation


Code	Description
Timeout	The search could not be completed in a timely fashion. Provide more specific criteria, for example by specifying smaller time ranges.

ListInvoiceReferences operation


Code	Description
Timeout	The search could not be completed in a timely fashion. Provide more specific criteria, for example by specifying smaller time ranges.
SectionNotRegistered	The section name is not registered.

ListExpiringInvoiceReferences operation


Code	Description
Timeout	The search could not be completed in a timely fashion. Provide more specific criteria, for example by specifying smaller time ranges.
SectionNotRegistered	The section name is not registered.

UpdateInvoice operation


Code	Description
NotFound	The reference does not identify a stored invoice in the storage area of the client.
SectionNotEnabled	The storage section of the stored invoice is no longer enabled for storage and the stored invoice cannot be updated.
SectionLocked	The storage section of the stored invoice is locked for storage and the stored invoice cannot be updated.
SectionClosed	The storage section of the stored invoice is closed for storage and the stored invoice cannot be updated.
CountryNotEnabled	Storage is no longer supported for the VAT country of the invoice or for the country of establishment of the user organization.
InvoiceExpired	The invoice is already expired. This does not apply if a new `StoragePeriodEndDate` at least three days in the future is included in the request.
StorageLimitExceeded	The total number of attachments or the total size of the invoice data (including detached signature, audit data, and attachments) would exceed the allowed limits. This error applies to the updated stored invoice, not the request itself. For example, if an invoice was stored with the maximum number of attachments and an attempt to add another attachment is made, this error code is returned. If the request itself exceeds a limit, `ParameterInvalid` is returned instead.

GetDocumentMetadata operation


Code	Description
NotFound	The reference does not identify a stored invoice in the storage area of the client.

CreateToken operation


Code	Description
NotFound	The reference could not be found.
InvoiceExpired	The invoice has expired.

CalculateTax operation


Code	Description
NotFound	The `CustomerId` could not be found.
InvalidExternalRequest	The external service failed to execute the request.

Transform operation


Code	Description
NotFound	The transform name does not identify a supported XML transformation.
DocumentDataInvalid	The input document is not a valid XML document.

TaxIdCheck operation


Code	Description
SectionNotRegistered	The name of the signing party does not identify a registered storage section.
BranchNotRegistered	The operation requires a registered branch but the branch identified by the request parameters is unknown or does not have enough information associated with it.
BranchNotSpecified	The operation requires a branch to be specified but the parameters required to identify a branch were not included in the request.

Corroborate operation


Code	Description
SectionNotRegistered	The name of the signing party does not identify a registered storage section.
BranchNotRegistered	The operation requires a registered branch but the branch identified by the request parameters is unknown or does not have enough information associated with it.
BranchNotSpecified	The operation requires a branch to be specified but the parameters required to identify a branch were not included in the request.
NotFound	At least one of the provided crypto key references did not identify a stored key, or a branch key was requested but the identified signing party branch does not have an associated cryptographic key. Also returned when the signing party name is provided alongside a reference to a key stored in another section.
NoApplicableIndividualKey	No storage section with the given name is registered or auto-created.
UnusableIndividualKey	Individual keys are required for the requested policy tags and at least one applicable crypto key was found, but the key turned out to be unusable. This is typically determined by a party external to Compliant e-Invoicing (such as a Mexican PAC). The error message will typically provide more information.
DocumentDataInvalid	The document data provided does not match the format specified.
AuditDetailsNotSupported	Audit details are not supported for the given set of input parameters.
AsyncBehaviorRequired	Asynchronous behavior is required for the given parameter set but the request indicated that the client does not expect this.
UnsupportedAuxiliaryFunction	A requested auxiliary function is unknown or unsupported for this particular request.
AuxiliaryFunctionClientFailure	A requested auxiliary function failed due to client provided parameters rather than an internal error.
OperationUniquenessViolation	Processing of a document with an identical identifier has already been initiated. The document identifier may consist of one or more document fields; each document format defines its own identifiers. If this error code is returned for an operation that requires asynchronous processing, the client fault also contains an `AsyncState` that can be used to poll for the result of the original operation. CounterpartyFailure	The counterparty was unable to fulfill its obligations required for a successful conclusion of this transaction.
SecondFactorNeeded	The referenced key requires a second authentication factor or OTP.
Blocked	The referenced key or the OTP device associated with the referenced key is blocked.
NoPin	No PIN was provided but one is required by the referenced key.
WrongPin	The provided PIN is incorrect.
NoApplicableKeyReference	The key referred to by `KeyReference` is not found or not applicable (not issued by an applicable CA). The error message will typically provide more information.

Note: The Corroborate operation can also return the ClearanceAuthorityUnavailable server error code, which indicates that the clearance authority is not available. For more details, see About the Corroborate operation.
