SCICloudStatusCode 401 means Sovos found a technical or structural problem before the invoice reached the PEPPOL network. Nothing was transmitted.

Check the SCIInternalValidationStatusCode entries in the notification for specific error details. Fix all identified problems and resubmit.

Common causes:

• Missing required PEPPOL BIS Billing 3.0 fields.

• Invalid VAT category code or rate.

• Mapping.InputSchema value incorrect — must be UBLInvoice for Slovakia.

• Buyer participant identifier format incorrect.

Buyer not registered (408)

The buyer's PEPPOL participant identifier wasn't found in the Slovak SMP.

Steps:

1. Verify the buyer's participant identifier format and value.

2. Confirm with the buyer that they're registered with a PEPPOL-accredited Access Point in Slovakia.

3. Don't resubmit until you've confirmed their registration is active.
