Generate KSeF certificates

Complete these steps to generate Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF) certificates for authentication and offline invoice issuance.

KSeF certificates authenticate your system and enable offline invoice issuance. Poland uses two certificate types:

Type 1 (Authentication) authenticates your system with KSeF for online invoice submission. This certificate validates your identity when connecting to the KSeF API. You need this certificate for standard real-time invoice submission.
Type 2 (Offline) validates offline invoices delivered to buyers before KSeF submission. When issuing invoices in offline24 mode, this certificate generates the cryptographic signature in the "CERTYFIKAT" QR code. You only need this certificate if you use offline invoice issuance.

- Test environment: https://ksef-test.mf.gov.pl/ → Certyfikaty KSeF
- Pre-production environment: https://ksef-demo.mf.gov.pl/ → Certyfikaty KSeF
- Production environment: https://ksef.podatki.gov.pl/ → Certyfikaty KSeF
Request a Type 1 (Authentication) certificate.
Optional: If you plan to use offline mode, request a Type 2 (Offline) certificate.
Download certificates.
Store certificates securely using encrypted storage or a key management system.

CAUTION: Never commit certificates to source control or store them unencrypted.
