Due Diligence

• We updated Alabama and South Dakota due diligence letter templates with new footnotes about property liquidation. Alabama's footnote addresses securities, digital assets, and safe deposit box contents. South Dakota's footnote addresses virtual currency, securities, and safe deposit box contents.

• Georgia now requires due diligence letters to be sent by certified mail for properties valued at $10,000 or more. Download the updated Due Diligence by State document on the All tab of the Compliance Resources page.

Properties

• Illinois no longer accepts property code UT04.

• We added the following new property codes:
