For Texas UT04 properties, a Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) code is required. When adding or editing properties, enter the FIPS code in the County field. You can find a list of FIPS codes on page 53 of the Texas Unclaimed Property 2026 Reporting Instructions.

Regulatory updates
- ReportMyUP and ReportMyUP Plus
-
- Florida
- We updated the due diligence mailing window to align with the state's new law. For all business categories, the first mailing window is now November 1, 2026 through January 30, 2027 (90 to 180 days before the April 30 reporting deadline), and a new second certified mailing is required for properties valued at $1,000 or more when no response is received after the first mailing. We updated the Due Diligence by State document on the All tab of the Compliance Resources page to reflect these changes.
- New York
-
New York no longer distinguishes non-bank money orders as a separate property type. Here's what changed:
-
Property code CK77 is no longer accepted. The system automatically converted existing CK77 records to CK88. Use CK88 going forward.
-
Property code CK07 now uses the description "Money Orders," and is available for all business categories. The previous seven-year dormancy has been shortened to three years, and existing properties have been automatically re-calculated.
