Bulk TIN match

Learn how to verify the identifies of multiple recipients at once.

Read more about what TIN matching is and the databases and sanctions lists used in the verification process.

Note: Only recipients with the following form types are eligible for bulk TIN matching: 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-G, 1099-K, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-OID, and 1099-PATR.
  1. Import recipients and forms.
  2. At the Preview step, click Import, then click Yes in the pop-up message.
    The Yes button on the Submit records for Bulk TIN Matching pop-up is highlighted.
A bulk TIN file is created and queued to be sent to the IRS. The results will come back after one to five days, depending on the TIN matching volume at the IRS. Read the article on bulk TIN matching results for more details.
