If a 1042-S recipient's form has a chapter 3 or 4 indicator, add a chapter 3 or chapter 4 status code by following these steps.

1. On the Recipients page, select the 1042-S Recipients tab.
2. Use filters or search to find the 1042-S recipient, then click the recipient's row.
3. Scroll down to the Ch3 status code and Ch4 status code fields and select a status code from one of the dropdowns.
   
4. Click Save.
