Create an unreferenced credit memo with taxes from Global Tax Determination

Learn how to add taxes from Global Tax Determination to a full or partial unreferenced credit memo in Oracle Fusion Cloud.

  1. Go to Receivables > Billing.
  2. On the Billing dashboard, click the Tasks icon, then click Transactions > Create transaction.
  3. In the General Information section, click the Transaction Class dropdown and select Credit Memo, then click the Transaction Type dropdown and select the appropriate option.
  4. Enter the required information the General Information section.
  5. Go to the Credit Memo Lines section and enter the description, quantity, and unit for the line item.
    Each line represents an item on the credit memo.
  6. Optional: You can add more line items.
  7. Optional: If you have items with different ship-to addresses, you can add the ship-to address to the line item:
    1. In the Line Information section, click the Details icon.
      A new page opens.
    2. In the Ship-to-customer section, enter the customer's name in the Name field.
      If you do not know the customer name, click the Search icon, and search for the customer by name, registry ID, or taxpayer number.
    3. The Address field will autopopulate.
      To add a different address, click the Address dropdown. If you do not know the address, click Search and search by site, primary, or address. Select the address from the results and click OK. The Address field updates.
    4. Optional: Click Next Item to edit more lines.
    5. Click Save and Close to return to the Credit Memo page.
  8. Click the Complete and Create Another dropdown, then select Complete and Review.
    The page updates the lines and shows the taxes, if applied.
  9. Click the tax amount in the General Information section.
    A pop-up displays the total amount breakdown. The taxes are displayed by line if there are credit memos with multiple lines.
  10. Review the tax amount and click OK.
  11. Optional: Click View Image to see a preview, then click OK to close the preview.
  12. If everything looks good, click the Save dropdown and select Save and Close.
