Add a location to a line item in the tax calculator
If one of the line items has a different location from the rest of the line items in the invoice, you can add a location to that line item.
If, for example, most of the items in an order are being shipped to Washington but one item is being shipped to California, the Ship To location for the whole invoice can be set to Washington and California can be added as the Ship To location for the specific line item.
Important: The location set at the document level applies to all line items by default. Adding a location to a line item will overwrite the document-level location.
- On the Tax Calculator page, find the line item you want to add a location to.
- Click the Add Data Points icon, then select Locations from the dropdown.
- Select Locations from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the location information.
