Understand notification preferences
Learn more about each notification preference in VAT Filing.
To receive notifications for when a task is due, at risk, or is late, you must turn on the Enable Workflow Notifications setting.
To receive notifications for when a return has been moved to any step, to Preparation, Review, Submission, Payment, or to Complete, you must turn on the Enable Due Date Notifications setting.
The following details explain each option to help you choose the best notification settings:
- A comment has been posted to a filing
- On the Returns page, if there is a new comment, you will receive an email.
- A filing has been assigned to someone
- On the Returns page, if a user is assigned or changed to any card, the user and followers will receive an email.
- A file has been processed via SFTP
- Once your invoice import is completed over SFTP, you will receive an email.
- A task is due
- This means that a task on the Returns page is on track. You will receive an email reminder 20 days before the due date. The due date is fully customizable for each individual step.
- A task is at risk
- You will receive an email reminder if it's the last day to complete a task on the Returns page.
- A task is late
- You will receive an email reminder if you already missed the due date to complete a task on the Returns page.
- A return has been moved to any step by someone
- If a card is moved to any step on the Returns page, the users and followers will receive an email specifying the changes. It's recommended to turn on this setting if you prefer to customize and change the names for the steps.
- A return has been moved to Preparation
- Once a card is moved to the preparation step, the users and followers will receive an email.
- A return has been moved to Review
- Once a card is moved to the review step, the users and followers will receive an email.
- A return has been moved to Submission
- Once a card is moved to the submission step, the users and followers will receive an email.
- A return has been moved to Payment
- Once a card is moved to the payment step, the users and followers will receive an email.
- A return has been moved to Complete
- Once a card is moved to the complete step, the users and followers will receive an email.
- Enable Workflow Notifications
- This setting must be turned on to receive emails for return statuses.
- Enable Due Date Notifications
- This setting must be turned on to receive emails for for when a card is moved to a different stage.
- VIES Check for your return is ready
- In the Returns page, once you run a VIES check and the return is ready, you will receive an email.
- VIES Check is completed
- In the Returns page, once your VIES check is completed, you will receive an email.
