TrustWeaver and Compliance Network
TrustWeaver and Compliance Network are complementary products that you can use together or independently, depending on your e-invoicing requirements.
TrustWeaver and Compliance Network address different and sometimes overlapping aspects of e-invoicing compliance. Understanding how they relate helps you choose the right integration path and plan for future requirements. For more information on Compliance Network, read the Compliance Network documentation.
How the products differ
TrustWeaver focuses on document-level operations: digital signing, signature validation, and long-term archiving. It provides a direct SOAP API for these operations and is suited for use cases where you must prioritize fine-grained control over signing and archiving.
Compliance Network provides a broader compliance layer, handling country-specific clearance flows, document routing, and mandate compliance for a wide range of e-invoicing regimes.
Using both products together
You can benefit from using TrustWeaver and Compliance Network together. A common usage pattern is to let Compliance Network to handle country mandate routing and clearance, while TrustWeaver handles signing and long-term archiving. In this configuration, documents flow through Compliance Network's mandate-specific workflows and then you must call TrustWeaver to sign and archive them.
Planning your implementation
If you are currently using TrustWeaver and evaluating Compliance Network, or vice versa, contact Sovos for guidance on migration and combined use. The right approach depends on the countries you operate in, the document volumes you process, and the compliance mandates that apply to your business.
