About Compliant Archiving
TrustWeaver Compliant Archiving stores, organizes, and preserves signed e-invoices and their audit data on behalf of invoicing parties for the retention periods required by law.
TrustWeaver Compliant Archiving is the component responsible for long-term storage of signed documents and their associated audit data. Every stored invoice is assigned a unique 32-digit hexadecimal reference that is permanent and required for all retrieval and update operations. Storing an invoice on behalf of both the supplier and the buyer creates two independent stored invoice records, each with its own reference.
Before archiving invoices, register and enable a storage section for each invoicing party. Attempting to store an invoice for a party whose section is not enabled returns a SectionNotEnabled error.
This section is organized as follows:
-
Archive documents covers submitting invoices to the archive using the StoreInvoice operation, including how to set the
CountryCodeparameter and attach supporting documents. -
Retrieve documents covers retrieving, searching, updating, and downloading stored invoices.
-
Track document status covers checking the status of stored invoices and storage sections.
-
Long-term archiving covers audit data, signature types, and the offboarding process, including the signature type structures that determine which
Documentsub-elements are required in StoreInvoice. -
Additional process considerations covers copy management, supplier and buyer archive separation, and hub retention periods.
-
Country-specific archiving requirements covers metadata, document formats, and automated preservation processes that apply to specific countries.
