Document actions
When you receive a document, you can approve it, reject it, file a claim, or issue an acknowledgment of receipt. Each action has legal implications under Chilean law.
Received documents stay in the Oficina de Partes page until you take an action on them. The actions available are:
- Commercial approval
-
Confirms you accept the document and its contents.
- Commercial rejection
-
Rejects the document for commercial reasons, such as incorrect merchandise or wrong amounts.
- Claim (Reclamar)
-
Files a formal claim with the SII against the document.
- Acknowledgment of receipt (Ley 19,983)
-
Confirms receipt of the merchandise or service described in the document.
Under Law 20,956, you have eight days from the moment an invoice reaches the Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII) to reject it. If no action is taken within that period, the document is automatically approved and payment becomes legally due. To learn how to monitor approaching deadlines, see Track document status.
