Compliance Network Implementation Guide

Set up account for Malaysia

Malaysia-specific requirements and considerations for setting up an account.

Account setup follows the same process for all countries that use Compliance Network. This section covers Malaysia-specific requirements and considerations for each step. For the standard how-to steps, see Set up your account .

Setup sequence

  1. Create an organization and assign Malaysia products.

  2. Add companies (one per TIN).

  3. Create ERP System IDs.

  4. Add people and assign roles.

Before you begin

Before starting the account setup, you must make sure:

Create an organization

  • Follow the standard steps for creating an organization: Set up your account.

    Note:

Only workspace administrators can create organizations.

  • When assigning products, use the following Malaysia e-invoicing product IDs:
    my_UBLInvoice__1.0
Use this ID to issue invoices as a supplier.
    my_UBLInvoice_Polling_1.0
Use this ID to receive invoices as a buyer.
    Note:

Assign all products at the organization level. Companies created under the organization inherit these products by default.

Add companies

  • Follow the standard steps for adding companies.

  • Create one company per TIN.

  • Malaysia requires two identifiers per company.

Identifier Full name Issued by Format Required Where to verify
TIN Tax Identification Number IRBM Alphanumeric string Yes https://www.hasil.gov.my
BRN Business Registration Number Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) Varies by entity type Yes https://www.ssm.com.my
    Note:

Enter the TIN in the primary tax ID field (taxId). Configure the BRN as an additional identifier using schemeID="BRN".

Add people and assign roles

User management is the same across all countries. There are no Malaysia-specific role requirements.

You can manage users in Admin Settings or with the Organizations API endpoint .
