1099 Reporting

May 4, 2026

New and improved

1099-DA forms
You can now create 1099-DA records through data entry or import, then validate and submit them to report digital asset transactions. The system now also enforces IRS filing thresholds for 1099-DA submissions.

Bug fixes

Transmittal corrections
We fixed a problem where corrections for a partially accepted or rejected transmittal returned an XML schema error. You can now resubmit corrections for partially rejected transmittals without errors.
Subscription configuration
We fixed a problem where corporate configuration settings were mapped incorrectly during Chargebee subscription renewals. Withholding forms and test client settings are now applied to the correct fields after renewal.

Regulatory updates

1099-DA state transmittals
We added 1099-DA state transmittal support for Arizona, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. You can now generate and submit 1099-DA reports to these states.
1042-S forms
We added a validation for the 1042-S form to make sure that all required fields in the Non-Qualified Intermediary section are completed before submission. This helps you avoid rejected transmittals from the IRS.
