Add users

Add users to give them access to your account.

Note: Only TIR_ADMIN users can add other users.
  1. On the side menu, click the Settings icon, then click Users.
    The Settings icon and Users button are highlighted at the bottom of the side menu.
  2. Click New user.
    The New user button is highlighted.
  3. On the Add user page, enter the user's first name, last name, and email.
  4. In the Password section, we recommend leaving the Let user set their password via email checkbox selected.
  5. In the Roles and permissions section, use the dropdown to select a role for the user.

    Read the article on roles and permissions for details about each role.

    Tip: If a user needs different roles for different environments, click Set role by tax year or environment and use the dropdowns to select the roles.
  6. Click Create.

An invitation email is sent to the user's email address from noreply@sovos.com with instructions on how to log in for the first time. Read about logging in for the first time.
