The following forms are supported for tax year 2025. Find out which ones are available for data entry, printing, and transmitting.
1099 forms
- 1099-B (Proceeds from Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions)
- Reports sales of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities through a broker.
- 1099-DA (Digital Asset Proceeds from Broker Transactions)
- Reports cryptocurrency and non-fungible token (NFT) sales. This is a new form effective 2025 that separates digital asset reporting from traditional securities reported on the 1099-B form.
- 1099-DIV (Dividends and Distributions)
- Reports dividends and distributions of $10 or more paid on stocks and mutual funds, including ordinary dividends, qualified dividends, capital gain distributions, and non-taxable distributions.
- 1099-INT (Interest Income)
- Reports interest income of $10 or more paid by banks, brokerages, and other financial institutions. Includes interest from savings accounts, CDs, bonds, and other interest-bearing accounts.
- 1099-K (Payment Card and Third Party Network Transactions)
- Reports business payments received through credit cards, debit cards, or payment apps like PayPal or Venmo.
- 1099-MISC (Miscellaneous Information)
- Reports rents, royalties, prizes, medical payments, crop insurance proceeds, and other miscellaneous income of $600 or more. Since 2020, nonemployee compensation is reported on the 1099-NEC form instead.
- 1099-NEC (Nonemployee Compensation)
- Reports payments of $600 or more to independent contractors, freelancers, and other nonemployees.
- 1099-R (Distributions From Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contracts, etc.)
- Reports distributions from retirement accounts including 401(k)s, IRAs, pensions, and annuities.
- 1099-S (Proceeds from Real Estate Transactions)
- Reports proceeds from real estate sales, typically issued by the closing agent or title company.
Other forms
- 1042-S (Foreign Person's U.S. Source Income Subject to Withholding)
- Reports income paid to non-U.S. residents from U.S. income sources, such as scholarships, royalties, or other income.
- 1098 (Mortgage Interest Statement)
- Reports mortgage interest of $600 or more paid by borrowers. This interest may be tax-deductible.
- 3921 (Exercise of an Incentive Stock Option Under Section 422(b))
- Reports when an employee exercises an employer-issued incentive stock option (ISO).
- 3922 (Transfer of Stock Acquired Through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan Under Section 423(c))
- Reports stock acquired through an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), providing information needed to calculate gain or loss when the stock is sold.
- W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement)
- Reports annual employee wages, federal and state tax withholding, and Social Security and Medicare taxes.
- W-2C (Corrected Wage and Tax Statement)
- Corrects errors on a previously filed W-2 form, such as incorrect wage amounts, withholding, or other information.
- W-2G (Certain Gambling Winnings)
- Reports gambling winnings above certain thresholds (varies by gambling type) from casinos, racetracks, lotteries, and other gambling establishments, including any tax withholding.
